If you are looking for a once in a lifetime hunt, look no further. My husband and I went with Brennan back in October 2017. We shot a 5 man limit of geese every morning, and ducks in the afternoon. The lodge is exceptionally nice with an amazing view & the food is absolutely 5 star. There is no better waterfowl outfitter in Canada! Do yourself a favor and book a hunt with Brennan.

I've duck and goose hunted all over the world including Africa, Argentina, Canada and all over the USA. What Brennan Hudson has put together with Alberta Waterfowl Outfitters is second to none. The accommodations, meals, scenery, the people and the hunt make it a must-do for any Waterfowler. If you look up the definition of “Work Ethic” there will be a picture of Brennan.

I just returned from Alberta where our group hunted with Brennan Hudson/Alberta Waterfowl Outfitters for 3 1/2 days. Having hunted all over the US and Canada for waterfowl I can truly say I have never experienced anything that comes close to this trip. From the lodging,food, numbers of ducks and geese(we killed 560 birds over the 2.5 days and every bird was cleaned and distributed to needy families) to the professionalism of the guides. The thing that impressed me the most was “Preacher”  our field dog.  Preacher is from Sporting Life Kennels and as a kennel operator, retriever trainer,breeder and hunt test/field trail participant for many years I can honestly say I have never seen a lab with the memory ,stamina and drive of Preacher. Over the 2.5 day he made numerous retrieves of from 2-3 hundred yards with little to no handling. Many times his handler Brennan Hudson would let him mark up to 10 birds before sending Preacher on a simple back. He remembered all downed birds. I could have watched him work all day. Having had many very good and great field dogs  I would rank Preacher at the top of the list. My only regret he is not mine.

This was a bucket list hunt for me. I have always wanted to see and hunt the prairie pothole region in Canada. 

This was far better than I could have ever expected. You feel like part of a family as soon as you arrive. The hard work and attention to detail put Brennan so far ahead of any guide service I’ve ever experienced. Endless hours scouting, brushing blinds, decoy spreads, calling, relationships with landowners…like true professionals they make all this look so easy!!! And being from south Louisiana, I’m rarely impressed with the food at these places, but Peter and Kathy hit a home run every time!!! I will definitely be back. You can put your trust in Brennan…you will not be disappointed.

There is no sufficient way to describe the experience Brennan Hudson offers his clients when hunting with Alberta Waterfowl Outfitters.  The accommodations and staff make you feel right at home.  The food is delicious and you’ll never find yourself hungry.  Once you are in the blind, the hunting is lights out and you’ll get to witness first hand the hard work and dedication of Brennan and his team.  We shot 355 birds in 3 days, gained a few pounds and came home with countless memories.  I am already anxiously awaiting my return trip.  If waterfowl hunting in Canada is on your bucket list, do yourself a favor and put your trust in Brennan Hudson and Alberta Waterfowl Outfitters.
